Le Garage - 115 Dulwich Road, Herne Hill, SE24 ONG
Le Garage is a new and exciting addition to the South London gallery scene. Lewin St Cyr, who works in the photography department at the Royal College of Art, lends the inspiration to the name of the show's title 'Absence'. On display will be Lewin's panoramic visions of 'empty' London void of people together with Hermione Hodgson's large landscape and awe-inspiring piece 'Snowmist'. The work of Su Au (guest curator) presents and opens a conversation/dialogue in response to the other artist's works. Her piece deals especially with trauma and memories associated with childhood experience by ways of manipulating image and text. All three artists will be present during the weekend. Many thanks to the gallery owner Alice Bailey.
